Paintings by Jerry Gordon

Splash Painting

Oil on Board - (80cm x 110cm)

Bolton Social Services, via Siobhan Loughran of The Cotton Street Resettlement Team, commissioned two distinctive art-works - a relevant way of creating 'community-art'. Jerry Gordon was commissioned to facilitate the project. The Splash Paintings were born. This was appropriate for the users of the Falcon View Day Centre as a way for them to contribute and release some energy in an artful and focused way. The paintings, once completed, on the 20th April 2000, were exhibited at Bolton Town Hall and now, as the property of Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, are on permanent show in two day-centres.
