"The bazaar an intoxicating atmosphere anytime, but with dozens of businesses having given ignition to their own vibrating power plants, similarly gargoylish screams to makeshift electricity, did propel the whole area to seem like a heated up collective madness. This akin to some demented live show, very abstract, no focus. Soon I slept in the Anoop Hotel for the sheer need for sleep, generator or no generator. The next day Leslie and Charles, two fellow British travellers and guests too at the same hotel shared a taxi with me to journey to the Baha’i Lotus temple. We were a tired grumpy bunch when we got there to see this recently constructed temple rising from the ground. Shape of a lotus flower the basis for its design, good to look at. Many sketches made here. The thought of painting an image of this temple by the medium of oil - paint on canvas later in the year created a quiet joy in me. Yesterday’s noises were forgotten."
