here is an excerpt of the book to be an artist

"The sight –and- sound- show lit up, theatrising the Sphinx and Pyramids in the evening - inspiring to the senses. Later I became the only western face as other tourist groups had boarded their scheduled buses and cab’s and gone. On enquiring with the security guards whether or not it was possible to sleep on the sand between the Cheops and Cepheren pyramids I got directed and introduced to Ibrahim. He was a camel driver by day and impromptu hotelier by night as he explained to me that the flat roof of his family house available to rent for a once in a lifetime twenty US Dollar fee. Bargain. A full moon lit the clear night-sky which time- wise drifted by slowly and uneventfully, brilliant. The next day I wondered around the area more fully. Incredible to consider these stones were shifted once in heat by manual labour."
