"The second happy event - a Bolton Social Services officer, Jean Hesketh, requested me to speak to a user-group. The talk went well and resulted in us deciding to create a new arts project near to their offices - a lodge house in Queens Park Bolton. The Daubs were re-born. I travelled to Bolton several times over the summer. The Queens Park Daubs produced about thirty distinctive paintings based again on my mantra the-brighter-the-colour-the-brighter-the-mood. Bolton museum and art gallery curator Adrian Jenkins liked the work so much that he provided an exhibition for these paintings in the autumn. This event was attended by council leaders and Social Services chiefs and was in every respect a win-win project."
