Below is an excerpt from the autobiographical book to be an artist - see price guide to order you signed handmade copy

"This particular track of a road felt so right to be travelling along even though there were doubtless a few other roads just like it across the island. Increasingly the sunlight made its bright presence known as the road came to an intersection. A remote part of the coast revealed itself. A change in air quality, a detectable sound of breaking surf - I could see the sea. I’d seen it a thousand times before in the seat of my imagination. Turning right the village Blanchisseuse came into view. The road now hugged the shore, the turquoise Caribbean Sea in fuller view. Breaking waves plentiful showing momentary white foam. I hailed a strolling villager to inquire of local knowledge and I was directed to meet Hannah who in turn aimed me further along the strip of road to view a one time Baptist chapel. A neat, modest site and it was Hannah’s family responsibility to rent it out. A few minutes and there it was to be seen. Coconut Grove Cottage nestled amongst tropical foliage opposite the greeny - blue water throwing white surf on dampened white sand. Instant recognition, or was it just a fantasy coming true? Whichever, this would now be the place where many of the Sacred Sites paintings would be completed. Rental terms were agreed"
